Pacific Ring of Fire

In Writing we read a text about the Pacific Ring of Fire, then we discuss it all together. Finally we should take the most important thing and make a summary with our own words, here is my summary:

 The article published by the Basic Planet asserts that The Pacific Ring of Fire is like a semicircle area with a lot of active volcanoes. This area is located in The Pacific Ocean,and extends from America to Eastern Asia and Australia. According to this article there are 75% volcanoes and this zone is close to tectonic plates. This can provoke earthquakes, tsunamis and floor shakes. The article states that over 452 volcanoes are found in this area, including Kilauea, the most active volcano in the world. All the activity caused by the plates could be extremely harsh for people and even worst than old eruptions. People could be damaged because of toxic gases and lava. The article says that The Pacific Ring of Fire is not the same as it was many years ago. The Pacific Plate will crash other close plates, producing the to sink. This produces crust melting, so lava is made which creates volcanoes. You should be ready for volcanic eruptions and earthquakes if you live close to the Pacific Ring of Fire.

In this task we have to make a magazine with information of a natural hazard. I have to explain the Japan earthquake and tsunami of 2011. I worked with Franco Fabrichini.

Calbuco Volcano erupts in Chile

The article was published on April 23, 2015 by BBC News from Latin America and Caribbean's section. It explains that the Volcano Calbuco in Chile, erupted two times and it affected many people. Some of them also had to evacuate the place and others were asked to remain in their homes. Alejandro Verges, an emergency director in Chile, tells that the volcano wasn't in observation. Classes were cancelled and airports suspended some flights.

On the Tv they had shown many episodes. Residents indicated that they were really scared and communicated "we had never seen this before". They only thought about saving natural resources.

Some places in Argentina especially the city of Bariloche had been alerted. Also Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt were in alert.

Chile is the second country with the biggest string of volcanoes after Indonesia.

This episode was more serious than the last eruption.

India and Nepal suffered an earthquake

The article talks about an earthquake that hit  India and Nepal.

The government explains that a few people were killed and a lot of them were injured. 

Also the Indo- Tibetan police explain that many buildings were destroyed.

Singh, the Prime Minister tells that volunteers were looking for hurt people and trying to help them. He also asserts that police were on streets warning. The electricity and phones were not working for some time. 

Singh, also asserts that he asked the  National Disaster for an emergency meeting and he sent five planes to help injured people.

The earthquake was also felt in New Delhi where residents had to run out from their houses.

The origin of the ocean

1_ The God's condition was that the people of Tebas built  him a temple to be more famous in the city. 

2_ The God made an ocean  to help the people of Tebas.

3_  At the end the people had the ocean but they forget to built the temple of the God so he decided to punished them by adding salt to the ocean so many people died.

The creation of the tomatoes

A long time ago there was a town with no more than a hundred people.The people were very happy, they worked as farmers, they cultivated and they raised animals like cows or sheeps. Children went to school and some of them worked as farmers with their parents. But the girls helped their mothers to sew. But one  spring morning when the farmers woke up early they realised that the crops were not there. The time passed and they were very hungry so Zeus, the most powerful god, decided to make them a giff to to survived.

The farmers were starving and as they worked cultivating the soil and raising the animals  and earned money in that way they had not money, so Zeus the most powerful god, decided to make a thunder as his gift. It consisted in placed the seeds in the Nilo river and when the river was in the higher way he would  create a thunder and the tomato seed wetted in holy water would grow but the process would delay. Poseidon used the time and  he made a tsunami and all the crops that were growing died. Suddenly Zeus listened that, and he get very angry and fought against Poseidon. It became a gods fight between Poseidon and Zeus. 

Poseidon and Zeus started to fight. Poseidon threw a lot of water to Zeus and he threw a ray but Poseidon covered him with more water and threw it all to him. The water was electrified because of the ray so Zeus finished electrified.

Zeus called all the gods to help him to destroy Poseidon. Nobody helped him except Hades, the god of the red fire. So one night they went to the castle of Poseidon to kill him. Poseidon was sleeping so Hades distracted the guards of the castle while Zeus went to kill Poseidon. Zeus quietly entered to the room and threw a ray to the head of Poseidon and burned his brain, so he died.

Zeus and Hades gathered their powers and created a red ray and finally they created the tomatoes.

Lowood Farm

One summer day in a colourful farm all the animals were very happy. You can find all type of animals, like horses, sheep, ducks, pigs, dogs, and chickens. But the most beautiful and loved were Sweety the pig and a yellow duck.

Every morning the farmer came, cleaned the animals, fed them and then he let them free to play and run. Then he picked up the eggs. And finally the visitors started to arrive.

At the beginning the Lowood farm was not very famous but with over the years the people started to spend a lot of time in the farm. They were very polite, they didn't throw anything on the floor but then the things started to change. 

 All the people started visiting constantly the farm and Rex was not the same,the other animals didn't know what happened with him. Rex now was a bad horse who discriminate the other animals.

-"You are a dirty and silly pig, and your name "Sweety" don't match anything with your ugly face" Rex shouted. "And you have to fix your legs, curved duck"

    All the animals couldn't stand it anymore. They were in constant fear of Rex and of the people that visited the farm. That persons, didn't knowing, make the animals eat things they didn't want or like.

    The farm was very quiet and sad until the farmer came with a new integrant. It was a sheep called Lancy the more intelligent in Lowood City. When the farmer left, Lancy started talking with the other animals and she realized that they were very sad because of Rex.

"Where is Rex?" she asked

-"Here I am!" he answer

-"What happen to you?" 

 Rex saw her with a bad face".-" Nothing...is just ,when I was little... all the people that came to ride me, discriminated me because I was very tall and gave me their food"-

"But, why do you do to other animals what you don't like to do it to you?" Lancy asked

"Because.... I want people and animals respect me. You know that my life when I was a child was horrible, but please forgive me.

-"Ok we forgive you, but promise Rex that you will never discriminate us again, do you promise? "Sweety asked"

-"I promise,please forgive me." Rex shout .

All were very happy on the farm and Rex have many new friends...

 Moral: you must not discriminate.

I am Richard Green, and I really needs this job because I want to change my life. I read on the

newspaper that your factory needs an employee. I am very tall and strong so I can lift boxes or 

heavy tools. And I studied at a university in New York City. 

       I worked like a postman, a driver and a carpenter. I am very good at making tools or fixing 

them so I will not have problems. Perhaphs I can drive a lorry with the commodity. I  have  no 

siblings and my parents died so I have an apartment for myself that is very nice and 

comfortable. I really need this job because I want to make something positive in my life.

Informal Letters

Dear Sophia, Hello, how are you? We have to meet because I have a lot of things to tell you. I listened to a conversation between Smith and his best friend Brailing. It is strange. You have to help me Sophia (Nattie’ s best friend).Well, the point is that I was in the kitchen and Smith was with his best friend outside. I was waiting too long so I went outside and without wanting, I  listened that he bought a marionette to go to Rio, quickly I took note and I wrote down the address of the place. Suddenly I shouted: " Smith the dinner is ready". We had lunch and then I went to that place. It was a normal place that it is in the town but I never knew that it was a secret place. I entered and the seller was an old man. Although I didnt know if it was okey or not I bought a  marionette, I wanted to know his expression. I love him and he loves me too. Then he dicovered me and I told him that I knew everything too. We understood each other: he always wanted to do that trip and I was a little selfish, always thinking of me so he would go to Rio and I would go to Miami with my mom Alice, that she really wants to see you and your mum. Well Sophy let 's meet tomorrow morning in the restaurant with my mum and yours and we go shopping to buy something for Jenifers wedding (friend) that is on July the 1st.
