"We are what we wear"

In the Language class we watched "The Devil wears Prada", a film about an ordinary girl that gets a very demanding job in Runway, a fashion magazine. We were asked to write an essay about fashion and our opinion about it. We should include, six connectors, one rethorical question, and two metaphors and similes, apart from the suitable vocabulary previous learned in class.

Nowadays fashion is a critical issue, either for teens or adults, or women or men. Is fashion essential for me? Besides I love fashion, from my point of view it is not a crucial  point. I don't care if my friends are fashionable and trendy or unstylish and antiquated. Despite the fact I personally think that definitely we are what we wear. For example if you are unfashioned you may be more relaxed and cool off. "Clothes speak for you". However if you always want to be on fashion you may be more exalted.
On the other hand it is a form of expression through which you can show your mood or feelings. In addition it is also related to social issues, as you can be discriminated by your looks. It is very common in school and even in jobs to be excluded as a result of your untrendy  look.
Anyway, on the same on some occasions you must follow a dress code for example in schools and jobs. Moreover you should wear clothes suitable for your age, and of course what you like.
To sum up, I personally believe that you must wear what you feel comfortable with as "cloth are like a friend" you either love him to hate him.
